2009 Neuroscience Research Grant

IMPORTANT MESSAGE

Applications are now CLOSED for the Pfizer Australia Neuroscience Research Grants.

Applications are now sought for the 2009 Pfizer Australia Neuroscience Research (NSR) Grants. Pfizer Australia will allocate up to AU$300,000 per annum to this initiative as part of their continued commitment to neuroscience research in this country.

The NSR Grants were established in 2002 to support clinical and basic research into Neurology, Psychiatry, Pain medicine and related therapeutic areas. They are open to medical graduates who are early in their research career having commenced research (or returned after an appropriate break) within the last five years or are currently in advanced training. Funding for the NSR Grants will be up to AU$44,000 (including GST) per annum. Each grant is for 12 months. Under exceptional circumstances 2 years of funding will be provided

All applications are reviewed initially by two independent expert referees. The final decision is then made by the Australian Physicians Independent Committee (APIC), composed of 10 leading specialists.
